
Aegean Exporters Union, made the biggest export rate in its own record with $1,206 million of exports in March. While EİB’s ten out of twelve exporter unions increased their 2018 March export rates compared to the previous year, the remaining two exporter unions left behind their 2017 March performances. Turkey’s exports in March is recorded as 15 billion 105 million dollars with an 11.5% of increase.
Ready-to-Wear and Leather Exports Increased
Aegean Ready-to-Wear and Textile Exporters Association increased its exports in March by 35% compared to the previous year’s March exports data and increased it up to 131 million 619 thousand dollars. EHKİB, with 25% of export increase, reached 351 million dollars and its one year of exports increased to 1 billion 332 million dollars. In March, while Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Union’s exports worth 24 million 6 thousand dollars with a 6% of decrease, Aegean Leather and Leather Products Exporters Union caught 13 million 656 thousand dollars with a 23% of export increase.
2018 Export Goal is $13 Billion
EİB Coordinator President Sabri Ünlütürk stated that their 2018 export goal is $13 billion. Germany has the biggest portion in that $1 billion 206 million worth exports with 142 million 67 thousand dollars. While the United States became the second with 79 million dollars, the United Kingdom is the third one with 76 million dollars.
