Italian Mechanics Gets Ready for 2013 with Training Move

Association of Italian Textile Machine Manufacturers (ACIMIT) has announced that positive developments have occurred in the end of 2012. According to the research having made by ACIMIT, Italian manufacturers have increased sales at the rate of 22 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012 in comparison with the previous quarter. In the report published by ACIMIT, it has been announced that increase has been at the rate of 46 percent in comparison with the same period of the previous year. While the domestic market has played a fundamental role in this positive rate with an increase of 47 percent, it has been stated that an increase has occurred in the foreign market at the rate of 20 percent. ACIMIT President Sandro Salmoiraghi who has evaluated the subject has underlined that it is needed to increase the amount of investment in production goods and to accelerate the studies in foreign market areas for the continuance of development.

Salmoiraghi who has expressed that data of the fourth quarter of 2012 has pleased them has told that “We enter to 2013 more hopefully in this direction”. Salmoiraghi has continued his speech as follows; “Increases that we have obtained contain the numbers of the last quarter. Apart from this, recession that has happened in the whole of 2012 appear as an important issue. In order that these results which we must ignore will not cause distress in next period, we need to plan our studies accordingly.”

Salmoiraghi who has generally evaluated the last year has stated that they have experienced a recession at the rate of 4 percent on the basis of annual order. Salmoiraghi who has mentioned that a trust problem has been developed against Italian manufacturers has stated that reforms which will provide extra benefit to companies are needed to happen as soon as possible. Salmoiraghi who has emphasized that the support of Italian government is needed in this respect has mentioned these; “The government which will come should take supportive steps for its manufacturers. Steps to be taken in this respect will provide manufacturers with gaining strength in both local and global market. We will work so that the Italian brand will become more known in foreign markets which constitute 80 percent of total endorsement.”

ACIMIT Keeps a Close Watch on Training Studies

Association of Italian Textile Machine Manufacturers (ACIMIT) which has member companies more than 300 also follows closely the training programmes which are carried out at universities. Business Administration and Textile Engineering Programme which are included in training processes by the universities of LIUC-Universita Carlo Cattaneo di Castellanza and Citta Studi Biella will be followed by ACIMIT. Training programmes which are planned in order to train qualified personnel for the sector will begin as of September 2013.

By means of this agreement made between ACIMIT and universities, it is projected to train professional individuals for the sector. This agreement including graduate education is described as an organization in which university students with bachelor degree will be involved. ACIMIT President Sandro Salmoiraghi who has shared his opinions about the subject has stated that they aim to train conscious individuals for textile and ready wear industries which are in the process of transformation. Salmoiraghi who has noted that the conditions of competition constrain companies has emphasized that he believes that Italian textile machine sector will be more successful with the new generation.
