Italian textile machinery attracted attention with their superior technology and well-equipped products aimed at the Asian, European, and American markets. Turkey maintained its position as the second-largest foreign market after China for Italian textile machinery manufacturers.
In 2023, Italian textile machinery exports accounted for 86% of total production, reaching a value of 2 billion euros. Turkey continued to hold a significant place in Italian textile machinery exports with 183 million euros. With this fair, Italian manufacturers found the opportunity to further strengthen their commercial relations with Turkey. These figures once again highlighted the importance of Turkey for the Italian textile machinery industry.
Italian Technology to Make Significant Contributions to the Development of the Turkish Textile Sector
Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Director Marco Pintus said, “ITM is one of the most important trade fairs in the world in the textile machinery sector. Turkey is among the main markets for Italian textile machinery manufacturers. Therefore, expectations of Italian participants from the ITM fair are always quite high. Italian companies participating in ITM were extremely satisfied with the quality of visitors they met at the fair. ITM 2024 provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the impact of Italian innovation, technology, and quality on the Turkish textile sector. I believe the participation of Italian textile machinery manufacturers in this fair has made a significant contribution to enhancing Turkey's capacity in the textile and ready-to-wear sectors, thereby strengthening its global competitiveness. These manufacturers, offering innovative and superior technological solutions, aim to make important contributions to the growth and development of the Turkish textile sector.”
