In the ITMA ASIA fair held in Shanghai, Italians, taking place with 115 machine producers, exhibited their products in an area of 4.700 squaremeters. National Industry Groups Pavillion, organized by ACIMIT, brought nearly 66 firms together. While weaving machines exhibition took place in salon E4, in W3 nonwoven machines, in E2 finishing machines were exhibited. Italian textile machine producers had drawn a successful graph in ITMA ASIA edition held 2 years ago, and had announced that they initialized “sustainable Technologies” Project with the support of ACIMIT. The Italian firms executing studies with RINA, the organization that calculates carbon footprints, for two years, has shown up the amount of carbon monoxide resulting from machine use. With the studies on preventing carbon emission, 6 firms, which are ACIMIT members, succeeded at getting certificate with their quality production.
34 Firms Applied, 6 Firms Certificated
The certificate given under the name of green label represents firms’ sensitivity on carbon emission. Applying the rules put by RINA deserves to get the certificate. RINA existence does not work only for putting rules. The organization also takes firms’ virtual applications under inspection and presents the opportunity to receive certificate to the successful ones. This application includes a process in which a 20 percent part of the firms join. Firms getting positive results deserve the certificate too, as they have been successful. While it is informed that 34 applications have been received from the machine producers, 6 firms have been stated to get positive results. Flainox, Itema, Jaeggli, Reggiani, Santoni and Tonello firms had the opportunity to exhibit their certificates in ITMA ASIA. The producers executing their works as organization and who could not get certificates emphasized that process continues and they will receive these certificates in the future periods. This process, continuing with regards to the planning made for future, aims at compensating the demand of India and China for behaving sensitive in terms of environment.
80 Percent Capacity Full in Some Regions of China
Sandro Salmoiraghi, President of ACIMIT, made statements after the fair, implying that the firms which could not get a certificate will fulfill important studies, too. Explaining that they present potential customers information provided from RINA, Salmoiraghi continued; “ Apart from the 34 countries attending sustainable technologies project, other Italian attenders also took place in the fair with their innovations on subjects such as reducing cost, source saving in production. We continue our successful growth as industry. We form our production policy due to the demands to come in the forthcoming years”.

Representing 300 firms, ACIMIT is also information-data center of Italian machine producers industry. According to ACIMIT data, Italian machine producers, who make machine production valuing 2.7 billion Euros, export over 80 percent of their production.
