The umbrella organisation of German textile machine manufacturers, VDMA, intensifies its activities directed to the Turkish market. In Turkey which is its second biggest market in the global market, German manufacturers will organise 2 events and Turkish firms wanting to take part in the event as participant showed a great interest. German machine manufacturers will meet with representatives of the local sector in the conferences to be held in İstanbul on the 12-13th November and in Gaziantep on the 12-13th November. VDMA will explain its Bluecompetence project standing out in the global market with the concept of sustainability to the Turkish participants. In the events in which 25 German firms will participate, plenty of Turkish manufacturers will show up from various segments including woven, fabric and yarn. It is stated that executives of firms have already started receiving application for B2B interviews to be held following the presentations.
It was declared that BlueCompetence and sustainability would be discussed in the VDMA events as main topic in the Turkish market as in the global market. In the seminar titled “German Technology Meets with Turkish Textile” which will continue in Gaziantep on the 15-16th November, the German expertise concerning saving and efficiency in energy, cotton and other materials in the stages ranging from yarn spinning to finishing will be presented to the Turkish visitors. The topic of the comference for the second day will be “Sustainability Meets with Profit; Cost of Life Cycle in Textile Industry”.
Technical Textiles Would Be Discussed for Two Days
On the first day of the conference, textile machines, spare parts, technical textiles and nonwoven production will be discussed while apparel and home textiles will be addressed on the second day of the conference. Speakers will make presentations about user-oriented technologies related to the spinning, knitting, warp knitting, woven, finishing and dyeing sectors. Besides, such topics as enery and material saving, test methods, documentation and labelling, export financial support which concern all the sectors will shape the conference.
In the explanation made by VDMA to our magazine, it was emphasized that they attach a great importance to the conferences held in Turkey. It was also claimed that new opportunities would be obtained with the cooperation between the Turkish textile sector which is strong in the clothing and home textile fields and German machine manufacturers. It was reported that “technical textiles” would be focused on the first day of the conferences to be held in Gaziantep and İstanbul while it was stated that innovative solutions for classical textiles would be introduced to the manufacturers.
The authorities of VDMA also expressed that they would guarantee the machine, spare part and accessories needs of Turkish textile and nonwoven industries with German technology and German firms in addition to increasing their competitive power in the global market with their high technologies both in terms of technical textiles and classical textiles.
