Aegean Exporters’ Association which hosted Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Development Agency of Germany in October this time hosted one of Germany’s most developed states, North Ren- Vestfalya State Development Agency in İzmir.
At the meeting held, while the information that some successful firms need to pass into other hands due to the aging population in Germany, said "Turkish businessmen can buy these firms and make technologic development on their works ".
Sabri Ünlütürk, Coordinator President of Aegean Exporters’ Association who states that the political problems between two countries recently hasn’t prevent the commercial development between Germany and Turkey, records that they signed under many collaborations with Germany in 2017 and thus both Turkey and Aegean Region showed a serious rise at export numbers.
Germany Has A 12% Share At Aegean Region Export
Sabri Ünlütürk, Coordinator President of Aegean Exporters’ Association, gave place to the following statements at the meeting; "Germany is the leader country at Turkish export. And the second one at import. While it carried out 12 billion 605 million dollars export for Germany between January and November in 2016, at the same period of 2017, it raised its export to 13 billion 585 million dollars by increasing it 8%. Our export made for Germany from Aegean Exporters’ Association raised to 1 billion 241 million dollars from 1 billion 164 million dollars. Germany takes 12% share from our regional export ".
Continuation of Economic Relations Is Pleasing
Germany’s Consul General of İzmir, Dr. Rainer Lassing says he is glad North Ren- Vestfalya State Development Agency to come İzmir despite political situation between Turkey and Germany.
Lassing who highlights İzmir is Turkey’s third biggest city, also says "İzmir produces 7% of Turkish industry and 6% of export. There is more than 500 German investments in İzmir. One of fourth of foreign investments in İzmir belong to German firms. The demand of making investment in Germany of Turkish capital based firms has increased. North Ren- Vestfalya State offers extraordinary opportunities with its big economic potential and super- developed substructure ".

Dr. Adem Akkaya, Turkish Agency Director of North Ren- Vestfalya State Development Agency, who states that they have been working in İstanbul as agency for 10 years to tell the attractive sides of North Ren- Vestfalya State, defines North Ren- Vestfalya State as "Your Number One Investment Center in Germany”
Akkaya who says North Ren- Vestfalya State has 670 billion Euro national income, adds his words that they are waiting for Turkish businessmen who want to make investment at this state which has a 38 thousand 500 Euro national income per person and high buying power.
