Roof organization of German textile machines, German Machinery Manufacturers Association ( VDMA), as well as 36 leading textile machinery and accessories manufacturer of Germany, 1.100 participant from Iran textile and carpet industry watched in Tehran on 21- 22 April 2015. For the conference which witnessed B2B meetings, local associations and publications such as German- Iran Industry and Trade Chamber, Association of Iran Textile Experts, Ministry of Iran Foreign Affairs and Manufacturers’ Association.
Target of Iran is 2 billion dollars
General Manager of Iran Textile and Garment Department of the Ministry of Industry; Golnar Nasrollahi who spoke at the opening ceremony of the event which Iran Ambassador of Germany Michael von Ungern- Sternberg and the President of VDMA Textile Machinery Association and Management Associate of Brückner Trockentechknik GmbH&Co. KG Regina Brückner participated; stated that German machinery manufacturers gave importance to after sales service in Iran and the government had a target to promote textile industry which focused on home market now seriously. Nasrollahi who added his words that and export nearly 1 billion dollar value textile and carpet also said they were working to raise this number to 2 billion dollar level.
Iran has to renew its technology
Regina Brückner who made a presentation about Energy Saving in the conference, stated in the opening ceremony that Iran had an important position at especially carpet sector and Iran absolutely needed new technologies to reach its targets.
After the conference which was expected to make important contribution for German textile machinery export that increased 37 million euro in 2014, Thomas Walman who is the Managing Director of VDMA Textile Machinery Association said that the conference they organized was an important opportunity to regain their market share which they gave rein to China and stated ‘’ Due to the sanctions applied on Iran, we have several difficulties. Therefore, although many political uncertainty had in the region, I find positive to organize this event in Iran’’.
