Sharing information about the textile machinery export of Turkey and countries these machines are exported to, Adil Nalbant, Chairman of Textile Machinery and Accessories Industrialists’ Association (TEMSAD) says, "England, Germany and Bangladesh holds the first three ranks considering the volume of our machinery exports. In particular, exports to Bangladesh continued to increase as it did in previous years, and Bangladesh was among the top three countries in 2017." "The countries with the biggest increase the sector achieved in 2017 were Uzbekistan, Egypt and Pakistan respectively. We can say that our members have intensive activities for export in these regions", comments Nalbant.
"We Are Getting Closer To Our 1 Billion Dollar Goal in 2023"
Thanks to the increase in exports, Turkish machinery manufacturers have achieved their targets in 2017. Stating Turkish textile machinery manufacturers have demonstrated a very successful performance in 2017, Nalbant says total exports volume of Turkey reaches 157 billion dollars with an increase up to 10 percent in 2017 according the records of Turkish Exporters' Associations. We have accomplished an increase up to 10 percent with the exports of machinery sector amounting to 14,8 billion dollars in total. The textile machinery sector in the machinery sector was the third sector with the highest increase in exports. If we continue to grow every year, we hope to meet our $ 1 billion export goal in 2023", continues Nalbant.
Turkey Reinforces Its Position In Global Market
Manufacturers of textile machinery and accessories have continued their steady success in exports, penetrating into different markets around the world and increasing their product range. The producers are quite advanced, especially in the field of dyeing-finishing machines. Today, manufacturers are entering in competition with all kinds of leading global brands in terms of price and quality and this reinforces the position of Turkey in the world market every day.
"We Can Do It With The Support of Incentives"
The textile machinery sector actually has bigger potentials. Considering the fact that the most of them are consisted of small and medium-sized companies, textile machinery manufacturers have achieved this export success with their own capital. Nalbant also suggests supporting the producers will increase export figures even further. "In the spinning machines and weaving machines groups, the rate of exports meeting imports is insufficient. Should the necessary incentives are initiated, we believe that the industry has the capacity to make the production of these products," concludes Nalbant, stressing they are yet to produce their own machinery and thus continue to depend on imported machines.
