The Association of Aegean Exporters (EİB) announced its 2017 export data. As EİB carried out 1 billion 80 million dollars export in December, it showed 17% of increase when compared to December 2016. While industrial products that the Association of Aegean Exporters made in 2017 took the big part at export in 2017, industrial products’ export increased 12%.
Textile Export Is On The Top
The Association of Aegean Ready- Made Clothing and Outfit Exporters increased its 1 billion 225 million dollars export in 2016 to 3% in 2017. And while the Association of Aegean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters reached 250 million dollars with 18% export increase, the Association of Aegean Leather and Leathercraft Exporters signed under 13 million dollars export. Leather sector showed 15% increase success comparing to 2016.
Ünlütürk; “We Achieved Our Target”
Sabri Ünlütürk, Coordinator President of EİB, who states that they have the happiness of overcoming the export target they put for 2017 by the Association of Aegean Exporters, also records that they have the target of 8% export increase for 2018. Ünlütürk who reminds that economists defined 2017 as “It will be delicate for demand”, maintains his words as follows “Despite these negative predictions, we overcame our 11.5 billion dollars export target in 2017 by carrying out export for more than 200 countries with 7500 exporter firms which are the members of the Association of Aegean Exporters. In order to repeat the same success in 2018, we will keep on our design, innovation and R&D focused activities for value- added product export”.
