Eurocoton (Committee of the Cotton and Allied Textile Industries of the European Union) which was established in 1958 for the cotton textile industry manufacturers to be heard, also embodies 15 national Cotton Textile Union in EU. At the same time the co-chairman of Eurocoton which is European Apparel and Textile Industry Eurotex's member and spokesman at International Textile Manufacturers Federation ITMF will be given for the first time to a Turk. Mustafa Denizer, member of Union Of Textile Industry Employers Of Turkey and Member Of the Board of Directors of Ören Bayan Tekstil San.Tic. Ltd. Şti. and Diktaş A.Ş. is brought to this important mission. The other co-chairman will be conducted by the representative of German Textile Finishing, Spinning, Weaving and Technical Textile Industry Union.
Union Of Textile Industry Employers Of Turkey (TTİS) founded in 1961 and which is one of the most established organization of working life, directing the textile policy of the European Union, after being a member of Eurocoton in 2000, this year, the co-chairman of the General Assembly which will be held between 16-17 June, will be given to Mustafa Denizer who represents Union Of Textile Industry Employers Of Turkey. The EU's free trade agreement with the United States accelerated the process of negotiations as co-chairman of Turkey's Eurocoton, to have a voice on behalf of the European textile, will strengthen our textile industry's hand at the negotiating table.
On 28 June 2013, Mustafa Denizer was elected as Vice President at 53rd Eurocoton General Assembly. After the past 9 months, by working on the development of Turkish textile industry, to increase its benefits and expansion of the membership of Eurocoton, important developments were recorded. At the Eurocoton Chairman of Board Meeting which was held in Brussels on March 4 2014, the president which will be elected at Eurocoton General Assembly between 16-17 June 2014, was in the agenda. As a result of the negotiations, decision was made as in the next 2 years Turkish and German members will take place as co-chairman in Eurocoton. Accordance with the charter, the co-chairman which will be approved at the next the next General Assembly will be Mustafa Denizer representing Union Of Textile Industry Employers Of Turkey.
Turkey Will be Heard More
In a period where Europe's giving importance to production plans is discussed seriously, after Eurocoton being transformed into a full manufacturer's troop for the textile industry, Mustafa Denizer which employs 1600 people at his factory, in terms of textile industry is a great importance for being elected as Eurocoton's co-chairman. In addition, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between U.S and Eu and EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement negotiations being made, which will affect significantly the EU and the Turkish textile sector, co-chairman of Turkish and German members which will take place during this period, by European Commission to increase Eurocoton's effectiveness to high levels in different geographies is planned.
