In Cematex, an organization that incorporates nine national European textile machinery associations who conducts its operations in the free market economy for its members, the new appointment of the General Secretary has been confirmed. Cornelia Buchwalder has served on an interim basis since June 2019, following the retirement of Maria Avery, and was elected to the permanent position by the Cematex Board on March 12.
Has an Extensive Knowledge
Buchwalder had been managing the Swiss Textile Machinery Association before the appointment of her new job role until 2013. Adding to the point, she has a reputation in organizing participations to the large scale and numerous global trade fairs and also various international events. Buchwalder, who also has extensive knowledge in the global technical equipment industry, will execute both tasks under the title of CEMATEX Secretary General and SWISSMEM Secretary General.
