ACIMIT Follows the Indian Market Closely
The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT), pays special attention to India, which is one of the world’s leading importers of textile machines. With the two workshops that will be organized on May 8-10, the association including 130 companies within its body, aims to increase its strength in the region.

India, which takes the second place with EUR 1,11 billion in textile machinery imports, is an important market for the manufacturers. The Italian textile machinery manufacturers sought after in the region, achieved an important success by performing EUR 134 million worth of sales in 2011. The companies that have achieved an increase of 19 percent compared with the previous year, continues their studies in order to get successful results also in 2012.

Making evaluations about the organization that will be held, Sandro Salmoiraghi, President of ACIMIT, stated that they have been observing the developments in India for a long time and that business opportunities have increased significantly in the recent years. Salmoiraghi said that in order to contribute the development of the local industry, the Indian authorities conduct special studies about the incentive system. Salmoiraghi continued by saying; “Indian government continues to support its industrialists. As the Italian machinery manufacturers, we follow these developments closely. We are well aware of the increasing demand and we continue our studies about the issue.”

The Italian machinery manufacturers that will participate in the workshop in India include; Hindistan’da düzenlenecek workshopa katılacak İtalyan makine üreticileri arasında ise; Canalair, Cs Automazione, Fimat, Flainox, Itema, Jaeggli Meccanotessile, Ptmt, Smit, Testa yer alıyor.

Participated in Techtextil in the North America

SPOT: The Italian machinery manufacturers, pay special attention to the North American market, where they have increased their sales by 81 percent in the recent period. On April 24-26, 2012, ACIMIT participated  in Techtextil North America, through which it aimed to increase the market share of the Italian manufacturers in the region. ACIMIT, which wants to increase the textile machinery exports of $ 97,7 million performed to America by the Italian companies in 2011, did not leave the companies alone at the fair. 33 percent of the exports performed to the USA by the Italian manufacturers, who wants to consolidate its market share within the country through the important successes they will achieve in 2012, included the machines used in accessories production. As for the finishing and spinning machines, they occupy 20 percent in the overall exports. Some of the companies that participated in the fair are as follows; Cormatex, Dell’Orco & Villani, Loptex, Ratti Luino, Saspe.

Cormatex is a manufacturing brand with a broad product range. The application areas of Cormatex include; accessories, aerospace industry, agriculture, automotive industry, civil engineering and geotextile, clothing, home furnishing, hygiene/bodycare, medical products, packaging, paper industry, protective clothing, shoes/leather goods, soundproofing and thermal insulation, wipes and cleaning goods.

Dell’orco & Villanı; In addition to the wool industry the company is engaged in the production of apparel products. The company has a closed area of 30,000 sqm and continues production in Florence. The company operates in the fields of furniture industry, automotive, construction sector, geotextiles and nonwovens, hygiene products, textile and apparels.

Loptex; The company made its name heard with the 1000 machines it launched in 1997. Offering service with its agencies and service providers across the wordl, Loptex stands out in the production of textile machines. The company attracts attention especially with its machines controlling the impurities in raw cotton

Ratti Luino; The company, established in 1869, is one of the important representatives of the Italian machinery manufacturers. Ratti Luino, which operates in 70 countries over 5 continents, has a global structure. The company that has always satisfied the customers’ expectations, meets the need for production and marketing through a careful analysis. Ratti, which has been active in the textile sector for more than a hundred years, stands out as a company engaged in the production of spinning, textile, sewing and embroidery machines and yarn twisting machines used in the production of synthetic filaments.

ITM 2012, which was held almost concurrently with Techtextil North America, did not attract the attention of ACIMIT. The association did not attend the fair, however there were Italian companies that individually participated in ITM İstanbul. Italian companies underlined that they were satisfied with the interest shown by the visitors. As it can be remembered, last year, the Italian machinery manufacturers increased the sales it perform to Turkey by 83 percent and to the North America by 81 percent.

ACIMIT, the Umbrella of the Sector

As the sector representative, ACIMIT, consisting of 300 companies, fulfills an important mission in the textile machinery market, where 12,400 people are employed. Italian textile machinery manufacturers, who perform around EUR 2,7 billion of sales annually, export 80 percent of their total sales to 130 countries. As a non-profit organization, ACIMIT, which is voice of the sector, continues its activities in line with growing and strengthening the sector in the export markets. According to the data received from ACIMIT, compared with 2010, Italian machinery manufacturers achieved a growth of 9 percent in 2011.
