OEKO-TEX® which was established with the uniting of Hohenstein and other institutes in Europe shaping the sector with their tests and research to establish quality and standards demanded by the textile and ready wear sector introduced Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® that certifies that a product is manufactured in line with the principles of sustainability and social responsibility to the textile sector.
Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® label which will replace the previously used OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 plus and Made in Green by Aitex that is used by numerous firms including the world-known brand Mango in order to distinguish their products will be offered to the clients.
Jean-Pierre Haug, General Secretary of OEKO-TEX®, said that “Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® label will be a perfect tool meeting the expectations of the clients about sustainability in the direct products in the textile sector.” Also emphasizing that the new label provides more transparency for the consumers, Hug stated that the product bearing the Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® label reaches a unique traceability thanks to the test number and QR barcode given.
