The firms which are working as fason for Yeşim Tekstil came together at the Summit of Suppliers. Şenol Şankaya, CEO of Yeşim Tekstil, who talked at the summit said that a big family reaching its number to 7 thousand 500 workers with suppliers signed under 280 million dollars export in 2017 by saying they gave the opportunity of employing 2 thousand 500 people. Şankaya also stated their turnover target for 2023 is 630 million dollars.
Şankaya who said Yeşim Tekstil carries out contract manufacturing in Turkey and abroad, emphasized they address a big geography. Şankaya gave place to the following words; “We turned out a growing supply from a stable one with the activities we made for the common future of our customers. As being Yeşim Tekstil, we became a global firm. Our targets are quite big.”
“The Cost of The Mistakes at Worker’s Health and Safety Is So Heavy”
Underlining that the growth with the usual methods is impossible, Şankaya said “How we reached today, we cannot reach future same. We must change. Our target is to provide sustainability”. Şankaya who remarked they care social convenience notion, said “The cost of the mistakes at worker’s health and safety is so heavy. At this point, we have zero tolerance. We have made no concessions by saving the situation as being Yeşim Tekstil. In the philosophy of Yeşim Tekstil lies ‘First Human’. We never want our workers to be unfair. We cannot admit our supplier firms to pay under minimum wage. And the subject we most dwell on is child labor. Children mustn’t be worked at business life.”
