Manufacturing companies, which operate in Denizli being one of the textile bases of Turkey, made a quick start in 2013. As per the data of DENIB (The Association of Denizli Exporters) the region increased its export in January-February period. In that period, the exports realized to the global market through Denizli achieved an increase of 37,8% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached a level of 227.202 million dollars. While a textile and raw materials export of 40.062 million dollars is realized via DENIB on January-February, a ready-wear and apparel export of 187.139 million dollars is realized.
The most exported products from Denizli are bathrobes-morning coats, towels-kitchen cloths and bed linens and quilt covers and the exports realized from these product groups constituted 41% of the export figures. The towels and kitchen cloths export achieved an increase of 33,9 % and is concluded as 67.431 million dollars while the bed linens and quilt covers export achieved an increase of 62,5 % and is concluded as 45.377 million dollars and the bathrobe exports achieved an increase of 45,1 % and is concluded as 21.970 million dollars.
A Total Export of 227.437 Million Dollars Realized to Europe
Despite the crisis that Europe undergoes, a crucial increase in the general exports realized to 25 European Union countries are realized in January-February period from Denizli. The total exports realized to EU Countries on January-February 2013 period recorded an increase of 37,74 % compared to the same period of the previous year and is concluded as 227.437 million dollars. This figure constituted approximately 67,80 % of the total exports made through DENİB. The Textile Manufacturers of Denizli having exported to around 100 countries in that period, achieved an increase of 59,8% for the exports realized to Italy; achieved an increase of 32,4% for the exports realized to Germany and achieved an increase of 17,8% for the exports realized to England.
