Work continues in the Textile Dyehouses Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (TOSAB), which was incorporated to bring together and rehabilitate the textile dyehouses located in the residential areas in Bursa and causing environmental pollution. The groundwork of the first factory under the roof of TOSAB, which set out its journey with the goal of an environmentally sensitive organized industrial zone, was inaugurated with a ceremony.

Totally Environmentally Friendly Industrial Zone

Speaking at the ceremony, TOSAB Chairman of the Board Erol Türkün talked about their continuing work for a ‘Cleaner Bursa at all times.’ While expressing their aim for a totally environmentally-friendly organized industrial zone with TOSAB, which they have implemented with an investment level of 33 million dollars, Türkün mentioned about their installment of a treatment plant which is the most comprehensive in Turkey which equipped with the latest technology, and shared personal gratitude for the first factory as well, which which was laid its foundation under the roof of TOSAB owned by Sentaş Tekstil, to Bursa and to our country.

Textile Industry Is Indispensable

Türkün said, “The treatment plant we built here was built with the most up-to-date technology in the world. It is positioned as the Turkey's best and the most comprehensive facility. We have 70 business partners within TOSAB. Installment of factories in order will follow. Here, we aim to be an industrial zone that consumes water resources at the lowest level. Hopefully, our plain will also breathe more. We lodged a request to expand the borders of our region. A region to our north is again envisioned as an expansion area. Of course, textiles is the most important export item of our country after automotive. Especially Bursa's oldest production branch, the oldest export branch. Therefore, textile is indispensable. It is a sector that provides employment to all folks either young or old, or either women or men as well. In other words, the industry has a very large income. We would like to thank our Bursa Governor, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, Industry and Technology Provincial Director for their continuous support during this process. May it be beneficial to Bursa and to our country, our first factory, the foundation of which was laid.”
