Quiksilver Passed into Other Hands

The rights of Quicksilver which reached a turnover of $ 2.5 billion in the world and has become one of the first foreign clothing brands of Turkey were sold to Olgar Corporate Group. Özhun Olgar, one of the partners of Olgar Corporate Group importing 68 brands including SPX, Billabong and Aldo stated that: “Now, there are 10 stores in Turkey. We will increase this number in a short period of time. Each store will meet the global standards. We will make an investment amounting to € 700 per square meter. As in the whole world, the market of extreme sports products has gained popularity in Turkey as well. Our investments in this field will gain speed.”

Promising Brand

Expressing that Quicksilver is a special brand for Turkey, Olgar added that: “Quicksilver is one of the first foreign clothing brands opening to Turkey. It is also sought by the youth. The brand has 10 stores in total. However, it has sales in 250 points. We have mainly aimed at growing with our own stores. Thus, we are planning to Grant franchises to the entrepreneurs.

Stating that they would change their marketing strategies for Quicksilver, Olgar added that they would exert efforts to make Quicksilver an accessible brand by changing the price policies. He added that Quicksilver made a turnover of 40 million Turkish Liras in Turkey last year and they are now planning to increase this figure in three years.
