The Ministry of Commerce's ‘’Communiqué on the Amendment of the Communiqué on the Inspection of Some Textiles, Garments and Leather Products’’ was published in the Official Gazette.
The "Communiqué on the Inspection of Certain Textile, Garment and Leather Products" was published on November 7, aiming to carry out inspections of azo dyestuffs harmful to health in textiles, apparel, leather products and shoes over TAREKS (Risk-Based Trade Control System) as of 2021. It has been postponed from January 2021 to March 1, 2021.
In the event of faulty or missing report uploaded into TAREKS by irrelevant authorities, even rest of the conditions remains relevant, on-site inspection will not be approved. The result will be announced in TAREKS. The unit that will carry out the said inspections will be the trade inspector’s branch directorates and trade inspector services serve under the regional directorates of the Ministry responsible for product safety inspections.
