The biggest cut crystal manufacturerof the world which creates its collections under its own brand, Swarovski illuminated the fashion week with the project of “İstanbul's Glow”.

Swarovski became one of the supporters of Mercedes-Benz Istanbul Fashion Week, the most important fashion week of Turkey this season for the first time. Swarovski displayed the designs of Turkish brands that it adorned with crystals in the special area found in the main hall for the fashion week.

“Istanbul's Glow”

Besides, a project was organized with important designers of Turkey this season. For the project named “ISTANBUL'S GLOW”, five important designers of Turkey designed clothes shining with Swarovski crystals for closing pieces of the fashion shows. These special five clothes to be included in the archives of Swarovski after MBFWI will show up in the world-wide events.

Many important figures came together for this project. The first one of them is Gizia which uses crystal in a creative manner. Gizia designed an extraordinary leather piece that will be worn by Tuğçe Kazaz and presented it. On the second day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, Swarovski crystals illuminated the fashion show. Tuana Büyükçınar closed its fashion show named Tuvanam with a two-piece design depicting the magic of crystal. The closure of the fashion show was made by Ece Gözen with a glamorous dress adorned with crystals. The day was finalised with the eye catching and shining dress adorned with crystals by Hakan Akkaya, this dress was presented by Çağla Şikel.

Group made a turnover amount of € 3.08 billion in 2012 and provided employment opportunities for 30.600 individuals.
