The exports of the leather sector in fur clothing hits 340 million 913 thousand dollars with 2.9 percent increase than previous year.
According to the datas of Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters' Associations (ITKIB), in 2013 exports of fur clothing sector, exporter firms increased the foreign sales with 2.9 percent to 340 million 913 thousand dollars compared to 2012.
The 17.9 percent of exports of leather and leather products' s covers the sector, in 2012 this rate was recorded as 20.3.
The sector has made 225 million 590 thousand dollars which is equivalent to 66.2 percent of exports, to Russia. The sector achieved exports to Italy 16 million 411 thousand dollars, France 15 million 698 thousand dollars, Germany 12 million 687 thousand dollars and to China with a 155 percent increase compared to 2012, raised to 7 million 367 thousand dollars.
Processed fur exports increased by 20.9 percent
Last year, the "processed fur" exports increased by 20.9 percent compared to the previous year, it was recorded as 118 million 614 thousand dollars. In this sector, the most export was made with 37 million 756 thousand dollars to China.
Also "raw fur" exports hits 269 thousand dollars, the most export was made with 169 thousand dollars to Hong Kong.
