Recently, the purchase news of world’s important ready wear brands such as Mexx by Eroglu Holding and Mustang by Gozalan Group has been welcomed at the sector. This time, a news is spread which a foreigner brand wants to buy Kiğılı which is one of the leading firms of ready wear sector in Turkey

Either it will finish or it will finish

Chairman of the Board of Kiğılı, Abdullah Kiğılı who explained that they negotiated for partnership with the foreigner fund, also said “We proceeded much. The brand has a certain value which we desire. It will not be a surprise if a foreigner fund takes park within our company. Either it will finish, or it will finish. According to the conditions we can sell the majority shares of Kiğılı. It may be either majority shares or minority shares. Whether majority or minority, the funds that we meet want to take care of business. As long as my health allows, I will keep on managing company for 3-5 years as well”.

Kiğılı who told they started to make plans for next 2 years said “Within 2 years, it will happen quite serious unions and purchasing at textile and ready wear sector. After crisis, many brand came to Turkey. And many funds are after Turkish ready wear brands. And many of these come to a conclusion within one or two years”.

 

Orka will grow by taking brand as well

At the textile sector which the brands like Silk&Cahmere and Collezione are known to be in contact with similar negotiations, about the subject, Chairman of the Board of Orka Group, Suleyman Orakcıoglu said retail was a shining sector and therefore the foreigner funds were at the doors of Turkish companies. Orakcıoglu who emphasized that this business was exaggerated much and said 'Why we only will grow by taking a partner. I prefer growing by purchasing a foreigner brand. And we have the financial power to carry out this. But unfortunately, the associations that give such services don’t exist in our country’.
