Çalık Denim which ranks among the first 10 firms at premium denim fabric in the world celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Çalık Denim created “Denim Loves Art” exhibition by inspiring from young designers taking education from world’s leading fashion and design academies by using denim with different principles. Designs which were exhibited in a special event at İstanbul Esma Sultan Mansion, were then exhibited in Amsterdam from 25 to 26 October. Designs will be exhibited in Los Angeles in December.
Young designers whose studies were exhibited at “Denim Loves Art” exhibition were chosen among the students who are taking design and interior architecture departments of the schools like Parsons, Amsterdam of Fashion Institute, Central St. Martin, Edinburg University, Citadella Artistic School and İstanbul Fashion Academy and Mimar Sinan University which are among the world’s most prestigious academies. After the call made at these schools, applications were evaluated by an international jury and designers designed not only clothes but also furnitures, accessory, shoes, bags and rugs to emphasize denim to be any field of life. Collections revealed by Çalık Denim as a result of original studies are keeping on being used by the world’s leading brands.
