While B210, the new denim produced by Çalık Denim, is the first and only denim that lasts in nature just for 210 days before it destroyed by dissolving; it will also help in the reduction of industrial waste. Çalık Denim introduced B210 to the giants of the global fashion and denim world with its sector launch at the Kingpins Show Amsterdam fair.

Çalık Denim, one of the world's leading responsible premium denim manufacturers, has developed a brand new and unique product that destroys in nature in just 210 days, with the works carried out by its sound R&D and P&D teams. The new denim, which named B210 by Çalık Denim, inspired by the motto of "Future to Nature" and by the fact that it lasts just for 210 days in nature before it dissolves, will bring a new breath to the industry's combat against waste.  B210, introduced also for the first time in the Blue Coalasence Spring Summer 2024 collection, that designed by Çalık Denim to leave a unique touch to nature will play a key role in combating the global climate crisis and contributing to the circular economy. Çalık Denim showcased the B210, which puts end users at the center of the circular system, for the first time at the Kingpins Show Amsterdam, one of the industry's leading organizations, held in Amsterdam on October 19-20, 2022.

“B210 will be a Turning Point for the Fashion and Denim World”

Çalık Denim General Manager Serhat Karaduman stated that Çalık Denim once again proved its pioneering and leading identity in the sector with the B210 to the whole world; “Textile waste is the source of 35 percent of the world's microplastic waste. It is estimated that the amount of textile waste, which was 0.7 million tons in 2022, will climb up to 2.2 million tons in 2030. As Çalık Denim, we have developed our denim, which we call B210, with the intense efforts of our sound R&D and P&D teams in order to reduce the environmental footprint of industrial waste and to contribute to the circular economy. We will support the reduction of sector waste with the first and only denim B210, which can be dissolved 99 percent in nature. In addition, we will support the Paris Agreement's combat to keep the increase in the global average surface temperature below 1.5 degrees in order to prevent the climate crisis. We will leave a livable world to future generations with denims to be produced with our new technology. As Çalık Denim, this pioneering technology, which we have positioned at the focal point of our sustainability strategy ‘Passion for Denim Passion for Life’ and our 2025 targets, comes to the fore with its applicability to our fabrics with all kinds of elastic content, from rigid to superstrech available in our product range. Synthetic fibers need millions of years to biodegrade in nature. As Çalık Denim, we have reduced the dissolution time of products containing even synthetic fibers to 210 days, thanks to our B210 technology. Furthermore, denim in the form of washed clothes has the feature of dissolving biologically in a much shorter time. Moreover, it prevents from any toxic substances such as chemicals and etc. to be released that would be harmful to the environment during the dissolution process.
