One of the leading brands of the global arena, Cacharel closed the year 2012 with a turnover amounting to 30 million Turkish liras. Total trade volume of the firm which recorded a sales amount of 41 million Turkish liras abroad was around 71 million Turkish liras. Entering into the Turkish market with Aydınlı Group in 1995, Cacharel targets to record a sales amount of 85 million Turkish liras with a 20 % consolidated growth. Besides, the target of the firm for the ensuing three years was explained as reaching 135 million Turkish liras. Aydınlı Group holds all the commercial rights of the brand in such close countries as Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Iraq, Ukraine, Syria and Lebanon and the brand operates with 54 stores throughout the world, 20 of which are in Turkey while 34 of which are found abroad.
Closing the year 2012 with a turnover of 71 million Turkish liras, Cacharel accelerated its activities for a turnover of 50 million Turkish liras with a growth of 66 % in Turkey and for a turnover of 85 million Turkish liras with a growth of 107 % in foreign countries. The brand also targets to open 26 stores in 8 countries by 2015. Having a target of opening 60 stores in foreign countries, Cacharel focuses on Slovakia, Lebanon and Tunisia. Accelerating its global activities, the firm prefers growing with its own investments in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. It implements the franchising system in such markets as East Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
“Purchasable Luxurious Designs”
Organising a meeting where developments of 2012 and expectations for the upcoming period, Aydınlı Group’s General Director Levent Özkan shared important information with the press members. Expressing that they possess three brands including U.S. Polo Assn, Pierre Cardin and Cacharel, Özkan explained that each brand addresses a different target audience. Özkan added that: “We position our brands separately both in Turkey and abroad.” Emphasizing that they position Cacharel as affordable luxury, Özkan stated that: “We sell not only products but also services”. Stating that Cacharel is a high quality brand meeting international standards, Özkan also pointed out to the fact that: “We will continue our investments for Cacharel in Turkey and foreign markets. We plan to serve with a total of 13 new stores next year. 5 of them will be in Turkey and 8 of them will be in foreign countries. In addition, we continue investing to increase our total store size to 10.000 square meters in Turkey and global arena.
Trend is changing in men’s fashion
Giving information about the changing trends in the men’s fashion in the press meeting, Levent Özkan reported that the classical wear fashion changed in our country as in the whole world. Emphasizing that sportive wears have stood out even in the business world, Özkan also added that they, as Cacharel, have given weight on the concept of “Upper Casual” which is prepared for sportswear in the new collection. Özkan continued by saying: “We target to increase our activity area continuously with new collections. They draw great attention. In Turkey, Cacharel’s suits, shirts and outerwear groups stand out much more. However, we continue our special activities apart from these segments. We make R&D studies for developing fabrics and moulds in the product segments of coats, jackets and suits.
Growth will continue in the Russian market
Explaining its expectations for the Russian market, Levent Özkan said as such: “We have been serving in the Russian market since 2002. We have become one of the most popular ready wear brands for men in Russian market with store investments and R&D studies increasing since 2007. Pointing out to the fact that they operate with 140 employees in 18 stores in Russia, Özkan concluded his remarks as such: “We will reach an employment figure of 180 employees with 23 stores by the end of 2013. We have currently stores in St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Sochi and Kazan. Our investments will continue in the forthcoming periods in such big cities of Russia as Ekaterinburg, Novsibirsk and Rostov in northern and southern regions. In Russian market, suits, shirts and outerwear groups of Cacharel draw special attention."
