Italian designer Anna Molinari, inspired by Chinese culture and electic British style, has accomplished marginal designs in blugirl 2013-14 Fall/Winter Collection. The designer impresses in her new collection, in which blended with masculine and feminine lined parts for sportman girls (sporty girls) who like to dress according to her mood. Leopard printed vest and pointed chiffon shirt with classical Scottish skirt adds a touch of an unusual taste to the collection. Moreover; wool, plaid(tartan) and mohair effected fabric coats and jackets are among the other parts that draw attention in the collection. Wool, lace, silk, polka dotted tulle and satin angora wool are the fabrics that are used in the collection. Pearls and special designed stones which are used to color the clothes also catch an eye in the collection.
Molinari seems to prefer a large variety of colors such as green, red, navy blue, black and white as well as a touch of silver and golden for her ‘’glamorous girl’’ collection. Red, forest green, navy blue, gray, ivory, anthracite and dusted white are also stands out as the other colors in the collection. When looked at the patterns in the collection, it can be seen that there are highly interesting designs. Skirts decorated with leopard prints bears the traces of English Alexa Chung’s cosmopolitan style. Moreover; the perception of feminine which felt deeply in Blugirl designs, reflects the mystery of the parts in this collection too.
The Asian culture-specific cuts as well as accessories which take place in the collection are considered as a reflection of English and Chinese culture. Dragon motifs which used especially as accessories and printing on dresses draws attention. Half-leather boots, leopard-printed bags and golden necklaces with dragon motifs generate the general accessories of the collection. Other than that, half suede lace-up boots, enriched with touches of masculine shoes, pointed classic shoes, leopard-printed ponyskin shoulder bags, plaid (tartan), chain and fur jewelry, gold plated necklaces, fur hats, colored stone, chandelier earrings, suede gloves, fur bags and scarves are among the other accessories in the collection.
Designer Anna Molinari gave information about her Blugirl collection by indicating that the colors white and black dominated the collection with an aura of masculine and feminine style. The designer stated that especially short pants are todays fashion and the prints have achieved very creative results. Monari said: ‘’Models of evening dresses with dragon details increases the wealth of the collection. The designs are a reflection of Chinese culture as well as a nod to classical Italian designs’’
