The Autumn 2013 Collection of Akris prepared by Albert Kriemler shines out as a collection reflecting simplicity and is created almost on a single color. The fashion designer almost used black in all items of the collection and the color choice of the designer is quite remarkable. White is also used besides black in the collection, which is quite limited in terms of color. White double-breasted jackets, spectacular mink trench coats and round shouldered pelerine coats are among the most liked items. Bright trousers and miniskirts are combined with black blouses and jackets while large size cardigans express rebellious direction.
Items are appropriate for functional use besides being preferred for special occasions and thus the collection appeals to a wider customer portfolio. Suits, which can be used in special events, and single colored tulle dresses fancy up the collection along with sweaters, which can be used in daily life in winter months. The harmony of black color and the transparency forms an important detail in Akris Collection. Besides black transparent details in the collection, it is seen that tulle fabrics decorated with stones are used. Black trousers are combined with stand-up color and long sleeve tops made of transparent fabrics. When we look at dresses one by one, it is seen that leather, lacework and different types of fabrics are combined and these are the mostly liked items of the collection by fashion designers. In addition to dresses, capri models are also remarkable in pants-jackets suits of the collection. The black color is also dominant in these designs and polo neck pullovers, long-sleeved jackets and pants are detailed with white lines.
The Accessory Choices are Remarkable
In terms of length, mini and slit dresses are seen. The color palette of the collection is mainly black, cream, grey, eggplant purple and navy blue. The fashion designer preferred satin, fur, wool, cashmere, knitting, lurex, tulle, mink, angora, suet and polar fabrics in the collection. Within the accessory groups of the collection are curved heel shoes, large size travel bags, which can also be used as hand bags, face veils and large belts. It is informed that the designer Kriemler dedicated this collection to his mother, Ute Kriemler having deceased last December.
It is stated that the designer is inspired by his mother’s wardrobe while preparing his collection and thus the collection does not completely have a sadness theme actually. Although the whole black color palette reflects the designer’s grief, it is understood that the light of hope is symbolized with a plain fur over a dress. In addition, Kriemler also gets inspired from Monako Grand Prix and Joseph Maria. The designer likes to use the details used by Prix on dresses.
