Aegean Clothing Industrialists will open to the world with e-commerce
EGSD signed cooperation agreement with “n11.com” e-commerce platform at its 21st Establishment Anniversary organised on 30 November 2013 with the participation of distinguished participants from textile sector. The protocol signed with the participation of Mukadder Özden, Chairman of the Governing Board of EGSD, and Nak Kyun Chong, CEO of n11.com, targets to make the production of İzmir and aegean region available to a larger group through e-commerce.
With the agreement signed betwen EGSD and n11.com which was set up this year with the partnership of Doğuş Grubu and SK Group and became the most important e-commerce platform of Turkey in a short time, the representatives of the aegean clothing sector will reach Turkey directly through the stores they will open in n11.com platform.
Speaking in the event, Nak Kyun Chong, CEO of n11.com, said that internet re-defined commercial activities together with the acceleration of technological advancements and commercial activities. Stating that n11.com which is one of the most recent of these initiatives and was established jointly by SK Group and Doğuş Grubu, Chong added that: “n11.com is an online commerce platform which has reached 6 thousand stores and 5 million products since April. We intend to re-define and develop the e-commerce understanding in Turkey by using all the knowledge of SK Group in the fields of technology and innovation. We try to ensure that fast-growing Turkey acquires its well-deserved place in the e-commerce sector, today's rising star.”
Emphasizing that the products produced in the aegean region can reach larger groups with a stronger marketing policy and more advanced infrastructure, Chong added that: “It is high time to carry the potential of İzmir a step further with e-commerce. As n11.c0m, we are happy to make a cooperation in order to reveal the production potential of the aegean region, in the textile sector in particular, and to create an observable change in commercial activities. aegean businessmen helped us in this important step towards the future and took this step which will develop e-commerce sector in Turkey with an institutional understanding for the first time. We hope that our cooperation will be a model for the whole business world.”
Mukadder Özden, Chairman of Governing Board of EGSD, said that they believe that online commerce will further improve in İzmir, business volume will thereby increase and a new vision will be provided to the sector owing to the cooperation made with n11.com. Stating that they aim at reaching the industrialists of İzmir to more clients through e-commerce and it is inevitable to keep up with the developments in the world, Özden concluded her speech as such: “As EGSD, we signed an important agreement with the aim of following the developments in the sector. We wish that the agreement will bring a breath of fresh air to the sector.”.
