To draw attention to textile investments in Eastern Anatolia region, project named "New Manufacturing Zone of 21st Century in Textile, Production Field That is Human and Environmentally Responsible" began on December 18. Within the project which started with the support of Ministries responsible for Economy and Development and Sehat Development Agency (SERKA) as well as FG Group, Eastern Anatolia Region will be brought into the world's new denim base. Municipality of Amsterdam that has a 5 billion euros of share from the 55 bilion euro denim market is also project partner. Under the project, denim production fields will be created in Ağrı, Iğdır, Kars and Ardahan.

FG Group Chairman Fuat Gözaçan said that "The project will be the turning point for these provinces. This region will be Amsterdam's largest supplier.” Gözaçan said they will make the marketing over Amsterdam which is defined as the center of denim world, also stated that from the Denim School in Amsterdam,in 10 years 1,000 students will come to the area to do internship. Pioneered by Reliable, Sustainable and Environmental Production Association (GÜÇDER); governorates, KOSGEB, İŞKUR, TİM, Halkbank, Vakıfbank are also supporting the project.
Target is 100 million euros of export
In Ağrı, Iğdır, Kars and Ardahan, within the project which aims to make garment base including mainly denim, first investment was made by FG Textile that is engaged in manufacture with Fuga and Tigerhill brands. With an investment of 2 million euros, 220 people work in the facility that is in Iğdır. Gözaçan explained that they started to export from this facility to China saying "This year we reached to 680 thousand dollars. This will increase further. At the end of 2014, our employment will be 1,000 people. In 2017, we want to be in a place where we can buy 100 million euros of goods for our brands from the factory".
