ITHIB Board Chairman İsmail Gülle reported that the textile sector made 74 thousand dollar worth exports in every minute of 2017 and said that their goal for 2018 is 12 billion dollars.

The export growth rate of the textile machinery sector in 2017 increases up to 177% reaching 604 million dollars. In 2014, imports amounting to $ 2 billion have fallen to around $ 1.3 billion.
President of İTHİB, İsmail Gülle who evaluated year 2017 for Turkish textile sector, says "If we carry out our 7/ 24 uninterrupted export target, we can raise Turkish export number too high levels."
Hadi Karasu who was elected as 21st President of TGSD says "We will set the bar of our ready- made clothing manufacturers high in Turkey" by sharing his targets.
At ‘Award Ceremony of The Stars of Export’ held by EİB, 56 firms at total including 9 of them from textile sector which contributed 5.5 billion dollars for Turkish export were rewarded.
While the Association of Aegean Exporters signed under 10 billion 900 million dollars export in 2016, it gained 11 billion 838 million dollars currency with 9% of increase in 2017.
Activities carried out by İTHİB and TETSİAD for Ur- Ge project which will provide benefit for home textile exporters continue.
During the 1st General Meeting, Zeytinburnu Textile Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association decides to continue with Mustafa Sartık, who has been executing its office as the Chairman under the capacity of Founding President.
North Ren- Vestfalya, one of most developed states of Germany, invites businessmen from İzmir for investment in Germany due to the aging population.
The VDMA Textile Machinery Association has accomplished successful events for the textile industries in the US and Mexico.
